Dance Classes

Mrudani School of Performing Arts offers classes in Indian Classical Dance: Bharathanatyam (Kalakshetra style) and Kuchipudi.

Artistic Director: Dr. Anuradha Murali

Anuradha had her initial training in Bharathanatyam under Radha Srinivassan. She has had advanced training through Shanta and VP Dhananjayan,Bharathakalanjali, Chennai, India ( Adyar K. Lakshman, Bharata Choodamani, Chennai, India. She has had training in Kuchipudi by P. Rajeshwari and advanced training in Kuchipudi by the world-renowned Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam, Kuchipudi Art Academy, Chennai,India. As an Adjunct Professor of Dance, Anuradha has taught Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi at Columbia College, Columbia, SC and as an Instructor of Dance, she has taught Bharathanatyam at the University of South Carolina, Department of Dance. Anuradha has been invited to perform and conduct workshops at prestigious national and international festivals. Anuradha is a recipient of numerous grants and awards for dance and choreography in the USA. She is the Artistic Director of Mrudani School of Performing Arts whose mission is to preserve Classical music and dance by instruction,lecture/demonstration and funding dance/music related projects.
